It's easy to measure up for window shutters. All you need is a steel tape measure, pencil and paper to get started. Refer to the guide for your particular window style to achieve the perfect fit.

How do I know which guide I need?
New to shutters? Don't worry, you don't need to be a pro to measure up your windows. Our simple step-by-step guides and videos will give you all the tips and hints you need to get the perfect measure.
Simply select the guide for your window type and chosen product to get started. For further information on the configuration of specific shutter ranges, please make sure you read the "Product Spec" on the product pages.
Important: If you are measuring for side-by-side windows, please make the height provided the same for each.
This is because small measurement differences (as little as a few millimetres) can result in different frame widths, number of slats or panel layouts which may cause shutters to look visually different once installed.
Shutters for Non-Recess Windows
This guide is suitable for standard non-recess windows.
Use this guide if you are planning to order solid panel, full height, tier on tier or café style shutters and have windows without a recess.This can include sash windows or windows with frames that are flush to the wall.
Shutters for Bay Windows
This guide is suitable for bay windows. It covers both the in recess and non-recess fitting method for our classic shutters and includes the required frame templates.
Use this guide if you are planning to order full height, tier on tier, café style or solid panel shutters for an angled, square or curved bay window.
Tip: If you are ordering for 2 or more windows that sit side by side, like in a bay, we recommend aligning their heights to be the same. This will ensure they perfectly match.
Perfect Fit Shutter Blinds
This guide is suitable for uPVC windows and bay windows only. It covers the unique method of measuring for Perfect Fit shutter blinds, as these frameless shutters will clip directly to your window frames.
