Why choose bathroom shutters?

  • Practical & durable – Unlike blinds or curtains, bathroom shutters are built to last in humid conditions.

  • Stylish & timeless – Clean lines and a fuss-free design make them perfect for a calm, relaxing bathroom.

  • Low maintenance – Easy to wipe clean, with no fabric to trap moisture or dust.

  • Mould resistant – Options like fabric blinds can suffer from mould, but shutters stay fresh.

  • Waterproof options available – Choose faux wood shutters for full moisture resistance.

  • Light & privacy control – Tilt the louvres to let in daylight while keeping your privacy.

  • Fast delivery – Our UK-made waterproof faux wood shutters can be ready in as little as two weeks.

Which shutter styles best suit bathrooms?

Bathrooms often feature tall, narrow windows, perfect for full height, tier-on-tier, or café style shutters. Smaller bathroom windows, on the other hand, usually suit full height shutters best. Here’s how each option works in practice:

Full Height Shutters

  • Cover the entire window from top to bottom.
  • Best for bathrooms that need maximum privacy and light control.
  • A great choice for street-level windows

Tier-on-Tier Shutters

  • Top and bottom panels open independently.
  • Lets you keep the bottom closed for privacy while opening the top for natural light and ventilation.
  • Ideal for bathrooms where you want the flexibility of both privacy and brightness.

Café Style Shutters

  • Cover only the lower half of the window.
  • A smart choice for bathrooms that aren’t overlooked, as they provide privacy while keeping the top half completely open for daylight and air circulation.
  • Perfect for creating a lighter, airy feel.

Which material is best for bathroom shutters?

We recommend our faux wood collections, especially in very damp bathrooms. They’re hard-wearing and a 100% waterproof bathroom window dressing solution. Plus, they have the same stylish look and feel as their hardwood counterparts.

Are bathroom shutters easy to measure and fit?

Fitting your bathroom shutters

We always say that if you can put together flat pack furniture then you can install DIY window shutters. Even the most basic grasp of DIY is enough, you just need a decent tape measure, spirit level, drill, and screwdriver.

All our plantation shutters come made-to-measure with pre-drilled holes. Simply fix the frame together using the provided bowties, position accordingly and screw it into position. It’s a bit like putting together flatpack furniture, with easy-to-follow shutter installation guides.
